Joseph also went up from
Galilee, from the city of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David which
is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David,
in order to register along
with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. While they
were there, the days were completed for her to give birth.
He Will Be Messiah
PROPHECY – DANIEL 9:25
Know therefore and understand,
that from the going forth of the command to restore… Jerusalem until Messiah
the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks.

He *found first his own
brother Simon and *said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which translated
means Christ). The woman *said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming
(He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things
to us."
To Be Born of a Virgin
PROPHECY – Isaiah 7:14
Therefore the Lord Himself
will give you a sign: Behold the virgin shall conceive and bear a
Son.

Now in the sixth month the
angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth, to
a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David;
and the virgin's name was Mary. And coming in, he said to her, "Greetings,
favored one! The Lord is with you." But she was very perplexed at
this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was. The
angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with

Immanuel, God with Us
PROPHECY – Isaiah 7:14
And you shall call His name
Immanuel.

"BEHOLD, THE VIRGIN SHALL

Thus says the Lord:
“A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping
for her children, refusing to be comforted for her children, because they
are no more.”

Then when Herod saw that
he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew
all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from
two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from
the magi. Then what had been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet
was fulfilled: "A VOICE WAS HEARD IN RAMAH, WEEPING AND GREAT MOURNING,
RACHEL WEEPING FOR HER CHILDREN; AND SHE REFUSED TO BE COMFORTED, BECAUSE
THEY WERE NO MORE."
Flight to Egypt
PROPHECY – Hosea 11:1
“When Israel was a child,
I loved him, and out of Egypt I called My son.”
FULFILLMENT - Matthew 2:14-15
So Joseph got up and took
the Child and His mother while it was still night, and left for Egypt.
He remained there until the death of Herod. {This was} to fulfill what had
been spoken by the Lord through the prophet: "OUT OF EGYPT I CALLED MY
SON."
He Will be Called a
Nazarene
PROPHECY – Judges 13:5
“For behold, you shall conceive
and bear a son. And no razor shall come upon his head, for the child
shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb.”
FULFILLMENT - Matthew 2:23
And came and lived in a
city called Nazareth. {This was} to fulfill what was spoken through the
prophets: "He shall be called a Nazarene."

PROPHECY – Psalm 2:7
“I will declare the decree:

And behold, a voice out

Galilean Ministry
PROPHECY – Isaiah 9:1-2
By the way of the sea, beyond
the Jordan, in Galilee of the Gentiles, the people who walked in darkness
have seen a great light.
FULFILLMENT – Matthew 4:13-16
And leaving Nazareth, He
came and settled in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the region of Zebulun
and Naphtali. {This was} to fulfill what was spoken through Isaiah
the prophet: "THE LAND OF ZEBULUN AND THE LAND OF NAPHTALI, BY THE
WAY OF THE SEA, BEYOND THE JORDAN, GALILEE OF THE GENTILES--"THE PEOPLE WHO

Came to Teach the Jews
PROPHECY – Psalm 22:22
I will declare Your name
to My brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will praise You.
FULFILLMENT – Matthew 4:23-25
Jesus was going throughout
all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of
the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness
among the people. The news about Him spread throughout all Syria; and
they brought to Him all who were ill, those suffering with various diseases
and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, paralytics; and He healed them. Large
crowds followed Him from Galilee and {the} Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judea
and {from} beyond the Jordan.
A Prophet
PROPHECY – Deuteronomy
18:15
“The LORD your God will
raise up for you a Prophet like me from your midst.”
FULFILLMENT – Acts 3:20-22
And that He may send Jesus,
the Christ appointed for you, whom heaven must receive until {the} period
of restoration of all things about which God spoke by the mouth of His
holy prophets from ancient time. "Moses said, 'THE LORD GOD WILL

PROPHECY – Isaiah 61:1
“The Spirit of the Lord
GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me to preach good tidings
to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted.”

In that day the deaf shall

PROPHECY – Zechariah
11:10-11
And I took My staff, Beauty,
and cut it in two, that I might break the covenant which I had made with
all my peoples.
FULFILLMENT – Matthew: 27:51
And behold, the veil of
the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth shook and
the rocks were split.
Darkness Fell
PROPHECY – Amos 8:9
“And it shall come to pass
in that day,” says the Lord GOD, “That I will make the sun go down at noon,
and I will darken the earth in broad daylight.”

Anointed for Burial
PROPHECY – Mark 14:8
“She has done what she could.
She has come beforehand to anoint My body for burial.”

So they took the body of
Jesus and bound it in linen wrappings with the spices, as is the burial
custom of the Jews. Now in the place where He was crucified there was
a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.
Therefore because of the Jewish day of preparation, since the tomb was
nearby, they laid Jesus there.
Buried with the Rich
PROPHECY – Isaiah 53:9
And they made His grave
with the wicked – but with the rich at His death.

When it was evening, there
came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become
a disciple of Jesus. This man went to Pilate and asked for the body
of Jesus. Then Pilate ordered it to be given {to him.} And Joseph took
the body and wrapped it in a clean linen cloth, and laid it in his own new
tomb, which he had hewn out in the rock; and he rolled a large stone against
the entrance of the tomb and went away.
To Be Resurrected
PROPHECY – Psalm 16:10
For You will not leave my
soul in Sheol, nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.
FULFILLMENT – Mark 16:6-7
And he *said to them, "Do
not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified.
He has risen; He is not here; behold, {here is} the place where they laid
Him. "But go, tell His disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of
you to Galilee; there you will see Him, just as He told you.' "
Raised after Three Days
PROPHECY – Hosea 6:2
After two days He will revive
us; On the third day He will raise us up, that we may live in His sight.
FULFILLMENT – I Corinthians 15:4; John 20:1
And that he was buried,
and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Now on the first {day} of the week Mary Magdalene *came early to the tomb,
while it *was still dark, and *saw the stone {already} taken away from
the tomb.
His Ascension to God’s
Right Hand
PROPHECY – Psalm 68:18
You have ascended on high,
You have led captivity captive.
FULFILLMENT – Mark 16:19
So then after the Lord had
spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand
of God.
